Airport Research Center is pleased to announce the dates for the the first CAST Terminal Training Sessions in 2018:

  • CAST Terminal Basic Training

The 5-day course will be held in our headquarters in Aachen from Monday February 19 to Friday February 23, 2018.

The training is meant for CAST beginners and will give the course participants an overview and understanding of the capabilities and functionalities of CAST Terminal. During the training a small airport model will be set up and simulated consisting of all relevant passenger processes. The general steps required to set up a simulation model are explained. This includes infrastructure modelling, import of a flight schedule, definition of passenger characteristics for passenger generation, process flow definition, model verification as well as result generation and analysis.

The CAST Terminal Basic Training will enable the participants to understand the fundamental modelling and simulation logic of CAST Terminal and applying it in simulation studies.

The registration deadline is February 12, 2018.

  • CAST Terminal Advanced Training

The 3-day course will be held in Aachen from Monday March 12 to Wednesday March 14, 2018.

The training will give you a deeper insight into advanced capabilities for your simulation studies. This will include application and use cases for user defined properties, complex interdependency modelling and various modelling tips and tricks regarding visualization, advanced log analysis and much more. New CAST features will also be explained in detail, including the allocation module and the integrated IATA Level of Service Analysis.

The registration deadline is March 05, 2018.
