The Airport Research Center GmbH (ARC) is a company acting far beyond the limits of traditional consulting and engineering activities. Evolving from an academic background, it provides the aviation industry with high-class business services.

The services and products offered by the Airport Research Center consist of market research, airport systems and master planning, expert consulting in air traffic and airport operations. Furthermore the Airport Research Center provides strategy development as well as evaluation and assessment of decision options for airports, airlines and all other participants in worldwide aviation.

History

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Wolf commenced his work specialised on market analysis, airport and airline business in the early 1980’s at the University of Technology in Aachen, Germany (Fachgebiet Flughafenwesen, RWTH Aachen). This work evolved through the years to what is now known as the Airport Research Center.

Over the years, Prof. Wolf’s reputation grew and established him as one of the leading analysts in German aviation. Consequently he assembled a team of interdisciplinary experts able to be confronted with, and answer all different questions concerning airport and airline business. The team consists of an academically educated staff ranging from civil, traffic and aerospace engineering to architects and economists.

To secure the institutes achievements after Prof. Wolf’s official retirement from the university department, the Airport Research Center GmbH was founded in 1998.
