Simulation of aircraft movement and analysis

Detailed description of project

As a consequence of the expected increase of traffic demand within the next years, Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport (SVO) intents to extend and reconstruct its airside infrastructure as well as the terminal facilities. Within this scope, ARC was contracted to evaluate the practical airside capacity for three major planning stages 2018, 2022 and 2026. The investigation covered the capacity determination of all relevant airside infrastructure elements such as runways taxiways and aircraft stands. Furthermore, the optimal operational concept for each planning stage has been identified by considering the results of an extensive simulation analysis.
